Needle Felting
This weekend i tried my hand at needle felting. It was not the first time i had needle felted as previously I had needle felted flowers onto a poncho but it was my first attemped at a 3-D figure or head in this case. I followed pictures from a book on felting sculptures (in danish) and had the watchful eye and directions of Celia Mikklesen who also translated from the book for me, and here you can see the sculptured face as it starts to appear.

ReplyDeleteI love gnomes (sometimes I call them Yard Midgets) and have several in my yard keeping eyes on stuff.
This is a great first try, obviously you have a way with needle felting as well as nuno!
Such great sculpted features, did you start on a base or just a bunch wadded up?
